Do we need death sentance in our society?????

There have been lot of debate on whether Sadam Hussain really deserve a death sentance.
In my opinion death sentance is something which needs to be erradicated from the society. We can not repeat the same mistake which Sadam Hussain did. Then wot is the difference between us and him. If we vote for death sentance then even we should be hanged.
On the other hand is the argument that he killed innocent people and we are only hanging a criminal. Even in this case my argument is "killing an innocent or a criminal both is equivalant to killing"
So, what do u guys thinking?? Should there be a death sentance all??

it should be but still should not be removed completely. it depends upon the situation. for example a person who had killed too manyu people just for his selfishness or terrorists should be given this sentance. but yes in normal sitautaions it should be taken as the last option which should be tried to avoid as much as possible

I have already given my comment in the previous question. However, it is imperative that deterrants are there to prevent recurrence of crime by diehard elements. The crime may stand but with a scope to reduce the punishment through the involvement of lawyers. Thus the capital punishment can be condoned through arguments by accurately pinning the blame for the crime with proper punishment sufficient for the circumstantial guilt.

I think that although it costs more to keep a inmate in jail than it does to execute him, it is not worth taking another mans life no matter what he has done.
