computer masters please help me

hey, guys and girls i recently bought a digital handycam which records on a dvc(digital video cassette) now i came to know that the recording can be transfered on comp by only firewire card which i don't have but i have also heard about firewire to usb cable do you know aything about it?? can u suggest me something?? plz if you can your advice will be appreciated..
