I am attending my finishing course to become a call center agent... Is it truly a rewarding job?

I worked in a call center for about two months and that was enough for me. I heard when you are answering incoming calls it is great, but I was outbound. I had to call people and try to get them to apply for credit cards. Some of the people were nice, but others were pretty rude.

Why did you stop? Are there any contracts or penalties just in case you were not able to finish your job? Some say that there are bonds in the contract.

its the most booming industry here in the philippines, and it is the answer to those jobless people who are declinedid because of pleasing personality, call centers dont require pleasing personality, as long as you are computer literate and you can pass all the interviews, you are in. and expect to get a salary bigger than a gov't employee of the philippines.

But isn't it boring if you're talking about the same things everyday? What are the things that you will learn as a call center agaent? How much is the salary?

well yes, it can get pretty boring in hte long run. but you know this industry allows for acreer growth too, you can become a team lead or an operations manager.
the salary is big, starting-lowest could be $290 US.

I worked in a call center for a vacation timeshare. It was good pay, and great hours.

I haven't experienced yet working in a call center but my husband is applying for a job as an agent. I want to experience it too and I was planning to take a course first when my daughter is on the right age to be left with her grandmother so I have to wait for the right time. I just hope I'll enjoy serving customers when I get there.

Working for a call center is really a lucrative job since you earn more than a regular government employee. One of our speakers in our call center class said that being a call center agent is a demanding, yet the easiest job on Earth. It is demanding in a sense that you always have to be on time and ready to take the call no matter what. Easy because you don't have to think about it as you get home.
