Why do people comment on thier own started discussion?

I have seen people commenting on the threads which they have started. I assume they dont get paid for that but it helps to build interest in the discussion.

Ya I'm pretty sure you don't get paid for responding in your own discussion. I bet that people are doing it thinking that they'll get paid for it, I see it all the time.

sometimes we comment back to other peoples answers. sometimes they have questions for the person that started the discussion. of course youdont get paid for it but it only takes one more minute to comment back to them
