You asked... I keep track of every book I have ever read. Partly because I want to make sure I don't read the same book twice. I tend to stick with certain authors and forget which books I have or haven't read, especially if they have written A LOT of books.
I started keeping track in 1975. The most books I have read in one year is 55. I believe that is when I was commuting by bus to work. Lots of time to read. The least I have read in one year is 7.
In February my year end will bring me to 32 years of books. I keep track of the numbers I read in a year (authors and dates), I have a separate page where the books are broken down by author (only authors I read a lot of) so that I can refer back to an author to see if I have read their book. I also keep track of the number of books I have read by some authors (example: I have read 42 Ed McBain books, 8 Chicken Soup books, 2 John Grisham books). I have this all saved on diskette printed out. I carry it around with me so that if I am at a garage sale or the library I can refer to it.
Oh, total number of books over almost 32 years is 780 books.
You asked. LOL!

I'm an avid reader and I read between 6 and 10 books a month. So on the low end, I probably read about 60 to 70 books a year.

i am a very big reader of both fiction and non-fiction as i love to learn new facts, learn about what is going on, or simply let my imagination run wild with a good adventure or horror story!
id say i get through 2-3 books every month, mostly under 750 pages, but sometimes more. so id say a good 30 books a year. that without the wealth of newspapers magazines etc that come in and out of my house. as soon as something intrigues me i jsut hope to learn about it. when a book still leaves my mind wondering, i just pop onto the internet in the hope of extending my knowledge!
