what is the difference b/w it and computer science?

in btech,it & computer science are two different branches.in what respect they are different?do you have the answer?

IT branch is assigned only software subjects but where as in CSE they are are given diversifed subjects of both hardware and software...

IT is more software and internet oriented.. but Computer Science stream includes all the aspects of computing from the basic microprocessors and the discrete structures to the complete organization and system level programming of computers..

IT can include anything beyond computers, I think I can remember referring to a washer once due to the programmes. Where as computer science will deal specfically with the 'computer' processes. Although naturally someone who's studied Computer science will have a better understanding, I've only done IT.

its all one and the samething Think of IT As the godfather! IT includes not just computers but everything related to information outsourcing and new tech! Computer science is basically related with software and hardware , and programming languages
