Where is lot of violence and nudity in video games nower days, what would be the right age for a kid to start playing. My son is ten,and he is playing since the age of 7..I monitor and only buy him games that have the E- for everyone symbol on.Should parents play the game before giving it to the kid,to make sure it doesnt show to much violent content?

I was not brought up in this era of video games, nor was my child. I would always check it out though, before letting your child use the game. Then depending on your moral and religous values, you will have to decide if your child is ready for that game at a certain age.

I grew up playing video games but the games back then weren't as graphic as today. I allowed my soon to start playing video games at the age of 6 but all games have to be approved by me.

My partner is big on video games. I do not like them as much. I prefer to have my nose in a book. So, my kids have been raised around video games and have played them at a young age. But after Halo...I had to put a stop to allowing the younger children to play the war games. I saw what was going on and told my partner under no circumstances were the younger children to play that game. He finally agreed. But he still plays them when the younger kids are not around. And the younger children also get to play the E for Everyone games. :)
