Would you choose a Midwife or a doctor when you are pregnant???

I had a doctor for my first 2 kids. The doctor delivered the baby and walked out of the room with no talking to be. With my last 2 kids I had a midwife and she sat there with me the whole time talking to me even after I had the baby. I love having a midwife.

I have had two and am pregnant with number three. All of my pregnancies have been and still are high risk so I use doctors. My doctor has been a close friend of the family for many years so I guess I am lucky. Both previous pregnancies were delivered by different doctors than my own, but I was always given an answer for every question i asked. The doctors have never "ditched" me right after the birth and have always been very kind and supportive. I have never used a midwife, but I am sure that if I could have a "normal"-like there is such a thing- pregnancy I would try a midwife at least to see what kind of care is offered.

I'm pregnant for the first time and obviously I'm wanting to do everything perfect (if only that were possible!!) I started out going to a dr. and 90% of the time I would sit in the waiting room for 2 hours so I could be seen for 2 seconds, and not even get a chance to ask the millions of questions I had running around in my head! at 4 months I swiched to a mid wife now I'm 8 months and I get all the answeres needed and Im never rushed, plus she's going to take care of little Melina after she's born! I love my Mid wife
