Does making multiple posts to a discussion increase ratings?

Ya you read it right..I'm asking coz I haven't tried it myself! If it does increase the ratings then its unfair that its allowed here on Mylot. And if it doesn't then I clearly don't understand why so many users make multiple posts to the same discussion. Often it goes unnoticed since they make one post, say today, and come back and make another one tomorrow. Unless the one who started the discussion reads every response (which he/she should) he will never be able to spot the "repetitive poster". If I come across somebody like that I'm sure gonna leave him/her a "good" comment and then report them. What do you think? Any ideas?

I don't think multiple posts and discussions on them increase ratings. I have tried everything. I finally figured out just to enjoy MyLot. Answer questions that are appealing, and post and read and respond to all. Whatever $$$ I get, is just a bonus. I just enjoy the friendships and good conversations. I rate everyone with a best response, or and a + rating though.

We may have different views of thoughts frmtime to time.. the one we'd posted earlier may seem not good than the one runnin in our mind while doin the 2nd response which also covers our memory that we'd already responded... anyhow we're not doin it willingly naa....

You can always add a comment to your response if you've changed your mind..why add another response itself..it adds to the number of responses received on a discussion..im sure you are aware of that...few people might just flare up when they see multiple responses from one person..

No, making multiple posts in discussions doesn't increase ratings. I think there are many reasons that people go back to the same post and respond. One reason, is that they are under the impression that they are earning money for doing that when really they are not. Second, I think some people are just interested in the discussion overall and want to continue participating even if they aren't earning. Lastly, sometimes people will make comments on their own discussions because this puts the discussion into the "recent discussions" category which can often bring more responders.
