use it only for calculators and the lights in my garden, which is like small lamps, that is on the ground or the plant pots.

No, sadly it is not so common.
Considering the length of time that solar energy has been around, you would expect it to be in use far more than it currently is. People do have houses built with solar panelled roofs etcetera, but the cost can be prohibitive since you need to start from scratch.

Yes i use solar energy in my home.I use the solar energy to light up my tube lights,my calculator etc.

No, but I would like to. A lot of the street lights around our city are solar powered though, as are the crosswalk flashers at the schools.

Yes. There are for sale inexpensive solar panels for trickle charging 12 volt car batteries. I bought one of these solar panels and use it to keep charged a 12 volt battery pack of D cells that I use to power an inexpensive motion detector alarm system. This way no one can come into my yard through my front gate without me hearing about it. Solar power can be inexpensive and practical.
