do we have to lie to make good discussions?

do i have to say that i'm 14 years old and i'm pregnant,by my step brother that raped me!(that's not true in case u're wondering) c'mon guys do you really belive all those things that people are inventing?if you really have a problem that big,you don't stay on the internet and talk to straingers,you go put there are rezolve that problem !!! why can people answer to funny discussions 2? what's with the atraction for drama ?

No way am I lying to get attention or responses..and trust me the ones who do infuriate me! And mind you, I don't judge a person by only one of their discussions, I check their profile and lo and behold..there's one which claims the person is a young teenager in love and the other claims he has a 14 year old daughter (when he is 21 himself..lol) It's a pity that such discussions get a huge number of responses since they get the sympathy of so many fellow mylotters/mylottians. I refrain from responding to them, if we do we are only encouraging such lies! I agree few are genuine problems and they don't play by sympathy of the readers..ya few problems are too personal to be shared with the whole world, and why the hell would you want a stranger's opinion on something that's so personal. Comprehending that is beyond me.

Lying about things defeats the purpose I think, but I'm sure there are a lot of genuine people posting their problems. Maybe they don't have anyone else to talk to or maybe they just want some totally unbiased opinions from strangers that aren't in their situation. I have no idea when I go into a discussion if the person is telling the truth or not so I usually take it that they are. I don't believe everything I read but I do try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

o m g i was thinking the same thing. I know people are lying on here, and they are getting a lot of responses. I just cant stoop that low and Im surely not lying for some 1 cent per post
