why do american go to genetic enegineering to increase milk production?

Because americans are greedy and want as much product as possible for little money. The farms are usually away from cities so most people don't see the nasty looking cows. I think the main reason people keep buying the milk is that they don't know that the milk comes from those cows. It is cheap, so people buy it. I mostly try to buy organic milk so that I don't have to drink the milk of the genetic engineered cows.
