Well, It depends on what he is interested in, Maybe its cars,a tv show, I would decorate according to what he is interested in and then have like a party for him and his friends at your house or at the skating rink or somewhere he likes to go, theres many things that can be done, hope i helped atleast alittle bit! let me know how it turns out!!

Well, it's the middle of winter, so whatever you do, it's gotta be inside.
If your place is big enough, you could invite his best friends & have a small party at home. with ballowns, cake, & games. if your place is too small for that, you could invite the same friends & take them to someplace your son likes to go. it would make it fun, being able to go someplace he already likes, with his friends. you could also just make it a special day for the family, go as a family to see a movie & out to his favorite place to eat. (don't forget to bring a cake, lol, it's not a birthday without a cake)
maybe you could take all the ideas you get from everyone here & ask him which one he wants to do.

It would be so much easier if he would tell us or give us an idea.

I have found with my 3 kids that the best thing to do is to ask the child what they want, do they want to have a party or would they rather have a toy that they want or would they like a day out somewhere.

Does your sone like to skate? When my daughter was 7 we had her birthday party at a local roller skating arcade. The kids all had a blast. When she was 6 we had her party at an ice skating rink. It also depends on how many of his friends you are inviting to the party. If you are only inviting a couple, you could also take them to the movies.

Something I did once for my daughter around that age was to invite some friends over for a make your own pizza lunch...This can be done easily with a few packages of english muffins ( makes perfect personal sized little pizzas) I'd lay out a bunch of differnt topics the kids could choose from..They enjoyed putting their very own pizzas together, making smiley faces and such with the ingrediants...I also think they enjoyed eating something they created themselves...even pizzas with extra cheesy and GUMMI BEARS lol...
Sometimes what kids really just want most is your one on one undivided attention....Spending a whole day out and about doing things he enjoys.. Since he's going to be 7 you can make a list together of 7 fun things to do!! At the end of the day surprise him with "one for good luck" by going out and getting an icecream sundae...

Sometimes it is hard with boys. Have you asked him what he wants to do? Check with the parents of his friends to find out what has been succesful for them. My son changes with each year. He loves to go fishing so we took him and some of his friends fishing one year and the kids loved it. They got to go fishing and then swimming. We cooked the fish they caught and it turned out to be a wonderful day for the families. Take some of your sons hobbies into consideration when planning the party and plan the party around of his likes.

I see now that you posted this 3 weeks ago, so your son's birthday was a week ago! I hope he had a great one! Here's my suggestion for 8th b-day: Pizza Party! Take a bunch of his friends to your local pizza shop and lots of rolls of quarters...and let the pizza shop know its a birthday party...then have fun! My sons enjoyed this kind of party, my daughter also! The kids have fun and there's no clean up for you!

i personally would ask my 7 year old how he would like to celebrate his birthday or throw out ideas and see if he like them. My boyfriends son is turning 8 soon and he asked if he wanted to go to chucky cheese and got an auotmatic yes. a party with his friends would probably suffice. If you wish to take the party somewhere im sure that would be fine too

all you need to do is tell your son what he wants in his 7th b-day. some kids dont want a party. he will be very happy if you allow him to decide what he wants.

When i was 7 my grandparents threw me a MC D's party that had a play place...Mc D's also gave me a pressent, i dont know if they still do, but i got apuppet, and a blow up ronald. It was fun!
But yea any type of play place would be fun for a 7 year old!

Maybe a bowling party, or a party at a local arcade type place? Maybe even Chuck E Cheese, even though he's probably almost too old for that.
