Hi, first we have the responsibility of finding his replacement which is not easy to come by. Second, he is still hungry enough and has lot of batting left in him. Third, he is such a gentleman that I'm sure he knows that he should retire when in good form unlike most of the other indian cricketers so far and will retire on his own taking everyone by surprise and Fourth and most important I want him to guide the indian team by remaining as it's coach after his retirement. Hope Sachin sees this. Thanks.

Sachin is still 33, there is still 3 to 4 years of cricket left in him, these kind of player wont come too often for INDIAN cricket, no doubt there is a rough patch going on to his form, He needs our support now,I think being indians we should give him support.

I have a feeling it very early for us to say that he should retire. I feel lot of cricket is left in him. He is matured enough to take this decision, when he will feel he should retire he will definitely do it..

I don't agree with this. I think Scahin is a great batsmen and has lots of cricket left in him. I know that he is going through a tough/bad phase but he will definatly come back. I think and hope that he plays till the 2011 world cup. I know he will play good in coming years and will always remain the no 1 batsmen.

Yes I agree with you. No matter what he does he will never be able to regain his old touch. Too many injuries have taken their toll on his body. It is better to gracefully retire under the circumstances.

he should have done that if there was talent like him india ,currently india doesnt have a player like him ,the new players are mostly tigers at home pitches and cows on foreign bouncy pitches , none of them know how to apply themselves on fast and bouncy wickets ,and also i think he has still got some more years of cricket left in him ,as he is fully fit and contributing towards the team if not with his batting than with his bowling

Lets first find a player matching Sachin's so called bad patch.
Then lets think about the masters retirement.
Till that time let the Master decide about his career.

Hi friend, I don't think so..Ya you are right he is not playing as he played before. But at present is their anyone who can replace current Sachin.I am saying current Sachin.BCCI is giving chances for different players. But none can replace him till. Also tell if Sachin is bad then who is good in our team..may be you say Dhoni buthe is not consistent.

Yes he is currently a little bit out of form but with the century to his name and that a little bit of contribution as an all-rounder I think he is a good prospect for the Indian team at the World Cup. We should not expect century from him every time he comes to bat and I think he will himself retire after this World Cup and so he must be trying his level best to give his country and his last gift as the World Cup of 2007. He has played a lot of World Cup and he is very good performer in them although he failed in most of the crucial matches but this is his final one and I think he will try his level best to make this is best World Cup and get the World Cup for India to again. I think the team has the potential but only after Australia.
