Why can gay couples not get married. Whats the harm. The main reason gay people in America can not get married is because most politicians want people of certain religous back grounds to not get upset but at the same time that same religion says not to judge because that gods place not ours. I am not gay but i know a few gay people and if they want to pay the same money it costs the rest of us for a marrage license let them. What makes our money any better. I was just wandering your point of view on this.

my opinion is, i dont care what country, religion or what, i agree that gay should get married coz' it's their right as human being. N i think GOD never hate or angry with gay people, coz HE created people like them to make this world balance & choose their way.

I also think gay people should be allowed to marry. I read some articles which were anti gay marriage saying that the sanctity of marriage is at stake. Well I guess if they are so concerned with semantics then let's not call it a marriage then. Maybe a partnership? The point is a marriage is simply a contract which allows two people special benefits/recognitions. That is simply what gay people wants. If the conservatives think it is a disrespect to the sacredness of marriage then call it a partnership with the same benefits.

My best argument for gay marriage is this: People continue to say that being gay is "immoral", "wrong", etc, but then you have many gay men such as myself who are actually upstanding moral citizens who pay our taxes, vote, etc, and are very good civilians and humanitarians.and we want to be thought of every bit as equal as our hetero counterparts. By telling us that we can't get married, is that the Governments's way of telling us that we don't deserve to be moral upstanding citizens ?
