Yes, it has been quite mild here so far this winter. We have had a couple of snow days so far, but we also just recently had a period of 15 days where we apparently had warmer weather than usual for this time of the year. I quite like living here in the midwest, in Missouri. I'm not really fond of cold weather, either, so this mild winter has been quite nice for me. ^_^

It is a suprisingly sunny 50 degree day today here in the U.S.A. Usually, this time of year is much colder (3-15 degrees) and snowy. This Winter has been more like Fall.
Just my theory/opinion but...
The extreme cold/hot conditions and climate shift is due to the Polar Tilt and the Ozone Layer (probably directly involved). It will probably bring some natural disasters our way. When the glaciers of ice are melting, the ocean will become much deeper, which will cause floods, at the very least. Land has risen up from the Ocean before, so it could easily go back beneath the Ocean line. The Ozone is what protects us from the burning star, which would otherwise burn us.(Sun)
I think we will continue to see the affects of the climate shift and extreme weather conditions. Hopefully, people will see it as a sign to take better care of our ecosystem. We are polluting our air and water, killing trees, our rainforest and expending our natural resources. I can only pray that this new change will bring about some really important issues that people will have no choice but to address.
We will probably see the Earth go in full circle/cycle and people will grow into communities. We will barter and trade our goods and services, working together and caring more about the community's and the World's well-being than entertainment, money, image, and selfish behaviors.
It would all be worth it: )
It makes sense to me but I realize I'm different than most; )

Yes the weather has been unusually mild and a bit crazy so far. I live in Northern Wisconsin and normally we have about a foot of snow on the ground and temps aroung 0f. So far we haven't had more than 2 days with lows in the single digits F. And we only have a small dusting of snow. We have been getting more rain than snow.
