Is it ok to charge your over eighteen year old children room and board?

Absolutely. It's the best way to get a taste of how the real world works. My friends parents did that with her. The day she did move out on her own, her father gave her back, all the rent she had paid and told her it would give her a head start in the world. She was surprised. I think that is such a great idea.

I don't agree with this, because I always got pressured that if I didn't do this or that I would have to pay rent and I was going to school and working and I paid for all of my own expences like clothes, college, gas, car insurance, and I was responsible. I just had a real jerk of a step-dad.

If they're working in my opinion, yes. They're part of the family, and all money goes towards making that family successful.

I think that charging them room and board is just being greedy. The only exception would be if they are just bumming around and not trying to do anything with their lives. If they are going to school, then you should try to help them out and make things easier on them. If they are willing to pay room and board, then maybe they should consider moving into a place of their own.
