from young, i have always been artistic. I draw extremely well and have always do well in art subject and score misrable for maths subject.
Unfortunately my parents do not believe that artistic people have trouble earning a good living.
With my best interest at heart, they educated me constantly that been artistic will eventually lead me to proverty. Being young and not sure of what i want in life, I give in to pressure from my parent and took a degree in computer study.
Now i am a successful IT consultant earning a reasonable good pay for my job. But i have never been more miserable in the 14 years of working in IT field. I work very hard, but have no passion nor ethusiasm for my job. I belong to the category of "work to live" and not "live to work".
Now that i am into half-time of my life, i finally realise i only get to live once. I should be doing things i love but am totally lost now....
I am thinking of starting with consumer product design as i have always been draw by beautiful design.I know i am abit old and late for entry into art. But isn't it better to be late than never? I don't want to die knowing i have not persue my gifts and interest given to me :-(
Anybody can help or guide me in this area? What are the path or steps one have to take to get started?
Thanks for any help in advance!

thanks for sharing.
my interest is in area of consumer product. I've checked out on internet. There are a lot of universities offering tons of design courses. Not sure which university is credible for a good design diploma/degree ?
