Spying On Teens

Should a parent respect a teens privacy or is it alright to spy?

Now you need to show a level of maturity and EXPECT the same. Kids will be kids but set a standard. Make it known that not even a question will arise if the kid can or can't do something of question. A silent form needs to be in place so the kid knows what he or she can or can't do before it was to happen. I think that trust needs to be very mutual and a realatioship needs to exsist where you don't have to worry about spy programs etc. This is your kid! You should know your kid good enough. You spying is symbolic of what you are looking for which is the kid doing something behind your back. Remove this thought and change the prescense in the household.

Spying on anybody is BAD ...... I hate that .....

Spying as with any invasion of privacy should be a last result. How would you feel if your husband/partner, hell even your parents decided they would spy on you rather than confront you about an issue?
