When you take pictures with your digital camera do you usually print them or get them developed?
I always print mine with our little photo printer. They look pretty good most of the time.
I did get a few prints from Snapfish because they have this free shipping special right now. You can join and get 20 free prints and free shipping if you want. ;)

Anyway, just wondering what most people prefer to do. I find printing them myself so much more convienent but when seeing real prints and how clear they are it sometimes makes me miss it...a little. ;)
By the way, if you want to join Snapfish leave your email and I'll invite you. :D It'd give me a few more free prints too and that be really nice.

I always print my own. I love that as soon as I take a picture I can print it without having to wait.

For me it's cheaper to have them printed. Ink is so expensive. Although i don't like the wait they are printed on proffessional Fujifilm paper so it's worth it.

With my digital camera, i usually upload them to my computer and the ones that I want developed, I just go to walgreens.com and upload them to there and go pick them up whenever they are ready. It's so easy to do that instead of having to bring the card to walgreens and then go back to pick them up when they are ready.

I've never had anything printed for me, I was given a little photoprinter one christmas and the prints always come out fine.
I was thinking about getting some albums printed up though, as I've seen some sites that produce glossy, properly bound book-style albums which would be nice to keep.

I've read a couple sites that say per print its cheaper to have them printed for you rather than print them out your self. I got myself a coupon for sutterfly so I'm going to try that out.

I'm starting to print my own ones now because the overall quality of taking it somewhere to get it developed is not that great. And It costs alot of money. Plus if i'm not happy with a shot i have take then i can use photo editing software to rectify the problem.

I do both. Mostly I print them myself unless I am planning to put them in a nice photo album and if I want a good cd of them I have them printed. Mine print out just fine but the ink is expensive so I think it is cheaper for me to have them done at the local walgreens or wal-mart.

I don't have a good printer, so when I want my prints developed, I usually download them, then upload them to walmart and pick them up later that day. That way I have my prints within an hour and I didn't have to wait for them. Or, if I'm not in a rush to get them, sometimes I'll order them through Snapfish or one of the other places.
One of these days, I'd like to purchase a photo printer, but for right now, this is working out for me. My biggest problem is remembering to get them developed :(

i dont know why they say its better to go in for developing them , cos even i find printing is better option..or may be that one has to have special techniques for development

The cost of a really good printer and ink still makes having them printed more economical. I prefer having the control over cropping and color when I print it myself, but I've found that I can get most of that from Photoshop and whoever I use to print them can keep them very close to what I want. My ultimate goal would be to get a printer that matches their quality so I can have complete control over my photos from start to finish, though.
