Trips, Vacations...and the hole they put in my pocket...

It seems that whenever we take a trip, my husband and I are the only ones that don't have great deals and discounts. We seem to be the only two shelling out the big bucks to take the trips and vacations that we want. Where do people get great deals on plane tickets, and vacation packages. I have been to Disneyland several times, but now I want to plan a trip to Disneyworld...is there anyway to save a bit on our trip, get a better deal, while still having a great time?

well, I'm an online whiz so let me give you some pointers. Always CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE! You'll usually find a newbee working the scene who has no clue about prices yet, so just play it off from them, make them believe that you could get your ticket from anywhere else at a much discounted price so that they will feel obligated to lower the price. Never give in without trying. The reason you got a hole in your pocket is because your hands are pulling out the money too fast! First off, pretend you're in a third world country bargaining for a cheaper price. It always works. Second of all, if there's more than one representative, hang up on the one that refuses to give you a greater deal, and call back and you might get a newbee who has no clue about the prices and deals going on, and you make your own prices and deals, you got to be the deal setter, so don't let them take advantage of you. It might be called disneyland, but to you my friend it's probably called povertyland if you can't fix your rate at the right price. call me for any assistance, tell my secretary that I gave you this message...

Definitely! Shop around and don't be afraid to play one agent or deal off against another. I personally have saved over $1000 on an air ticket alone just by doing this! Also look for package deals that include accomodations etc Think of the extra spending money you will have on holiday just by taking a litle extra time to look at options..... Also, going to these places in what is deemed as "off season" can save big bucks also. For places like Disneyworld etc try to avoid school holidays and holiday periods in general.
