Honestly, what age did you stop playing Barbies?

For the ladies obviously. ;) So when was it? For me it was 15. I have a younger sister so it worked out good. The best thing about Barbies to me was always dressing them up. Fixing their hair and changing their clothes.

Well I don't mind admitting this, I never stopped playing with them! LOL I was alway around little girls, baby sitting to relatives children until now with my own girls. If they have a Barbie Doll, then I am right there, brushing hair or trying on clothes. So I can't remember a time I didn't play with them. I love it, they are still so much fun!

Honestly, I was one of those girls who HATED Barbies. I distinctly remember receiving one for XMAS one year...I cried! Then I ripped her head off and threw it in the trash. I'm sure I got beat for that one!

I think I was about 10. But, if the baby I'm carrying now is a girl, I'll finally get to play with some again!

Oh I so loved Barbies. I think I played with them until I was about 14, maybe even 15. It was fun to play with them and changed their clothes and play with their hair. I think mostly I just liked setting up their furtinture that I had for them in different ways.

I don't remember playing with Barbie very much as a kid. We played alot of board games. M y daughter was almost 9 when she turned into a Tom boy and started playig with wrestlers and Batman, etc.

I never really had any barbies to play with (although I loved playing with my friends barbies). I use to make paper dolls and all their clothes and play with them. But I did have tons of dolls I played with. I was ten when I got the last one, and I played dolls up until I was probably pretty close to twelve. I had that last doll up until a few years ago when I gave it to my daughter and she broke the legs off of her, lol.

I stopped playing with my barbies around the age of 12 or maybe even 13. My older sisters would play with me (they would've been like 17ish at the time so they have more to be embarrassed about than me LOL). I used to love dressing the barbies and fixing their hair too...in my younger days I even enjoyed giving them a little hair cut (it always looked BAD in the end). When I would take my baths I would enjoy having the barbies jump off of the faucet and into the water...I considered this to be their "public swimming" time.

Haha! Sounds like me. I was the older sister though. :D We'd aways cut their hair and it would look horrible later. Then came the regret lol!

I was forced to stop playing with my Barbies when I was 11 years old. I came home from school one day and went to my room. They cases of Barbie dolls and clothing that I kept under the bed were gone. My mother said I was too old to play with dolls and gave them away.

I cant really remember because I was still a toddler. It was when I was about 4 years old. At that age I learnt to read and I found books were more amusing than barbies. I think that was when I stop playing with barbies.

Actually I was a little girl who hated Barbie! I distinctly remember getting one as an XMAS present one year...when I opened it I literally cried, then went home and ripped it's head off! LOL

I preffered Action Man. I was a bit of a Tom boy and my Barbies always chose to marry Action Man instead of Ken. I think i stopped playing with them at the age of about 8. The Playstation got in the way. :]

I was pretty old too. Probably about 13 or 14. I loved dressing them up. But man now adays they have so much more for them compared to 30 years ago. My daughter who is 9 loves her Barbies. She has about 50 of them and has a huge Barbie house that is 4 storeys and has an elevator. Her friends will come over and they will play with them for hours. Funny though she was never into baby dolls. Her friend is but not her.

I was never into Barbie's. My older sister was, but when it came to pass them down to me, I just was not into them. I enjoyed ripping their heads off and that was about it. I was more of a tom boy, and and loved playing with my He-Man figures and Thundercats. At that time, there was nothing more cool for me.

Ok, this is going to sound very bad..... I'd have to say 28 or so, lol. I have a daughter and we would play with her barbies together up until she was about 9 or so. Since I know how to sew and crochet, I would make several outfits for her different barbies and would take special care in displaying them on the doll stands while I still cleaned up her room. My daughter loved the way some of her own favorite, but outgrown outfits, were made into new clothes for her dolls. :)

Hey, I still play with Barbies!! :-). That's only because my daughter has so many of them and she likes me to help her play dress up and pretend with them. Personally, I think I was about 10 years old or so, maybe 11.

The summer before 9th grade was the last summer I played with Barbies. I would have been 14. But my cousin was about a year older or so and she was playing Barbies with me so she was probably about 15. Now in days the girls are "too old" by 2nd grade and making fun of each other for it! I know one mother that told her daughter, in 2nd grade, that she was too old to be playing with dolls and it was time to put them up. She cried and cried. In the end she snuck a doll to my house, her favorite doll, and would have her when she came to sleep over or just play with my daughter at my house. It was so sad. Then again, her mother was a Hooters girl and let her daughter wear makeup in Kindergarden! LOL That alone should tell you what she thought a females place was in this world!

For me it was 13... and when I was little I used to play Soap Opera with my Barbies... I was too young to understand what "sleeping together" meant so I never understood why people on tv would get so upset for having a slumber party. So when I'd play Barbies... Barbie would come home to find Midge and Ken having a sleep over and she'd flip out! Fun times... I really miss having that kind of imagination and thought process to where I could actually believe my Barbies were interacting with each other.
