Reality sucks. Most long-distance relationships will falter.I know of two people who met online and are now happily married.I also know some who came from another country to visit and once they went home, problems arose .As long as we keep things in perspective, the internet relationship can be happy and healthy for all.

well from my perspective, i'd say it is possible. to become a little bit attached to someone online. jeez, i myself can testify to this. i've been feeling pretty attached to this one guy i've met online for nine months now. with daily emails, chatting, calls and texts, it's hard not to.
now some people will scoff at this sort of thing. i say, why narrow your choices just because of geographical constraints? people should put it into context that not everyone are the same and online relationships do work for some people.
it did for my aunt and she's happily married to a guy she met online. for all i know, my relationship could go bust in a few months. but if doesn't, hoo boy, i've roped myself one pretty fantastic guy.
pretty much anything in life is a risk. some just more than others. but if you're willing to take the risk, sometimes you find that it was well worth it.
