Change, the theme is about how one can succed only when they are willing to except change. If we stay in the routine to scared to look beyond our current situation, nothing good will come from it. You have to realize that when your cheese moves you have to be willing to find new cheese. I really loved this book :)

In the foreward to the story, just in his story, the present, we are reminded that this story will affect you in different ways, depending on your life at the time. However, the overall theme is that Change is Inevitable and we need to prepare for it, as well as, embrace it.

It was quite a few years back since I read this book... the gist of it that I could remember is how we adapt to change and the author used an analogy of mice to reflect on human behaviour towards changes... how we try to avoid/deny/object to change. The message is, if i got it right, would be if we do not adapt to the change around us... we will eventually lose out and will be left behind.... so, do we want that?

As per my perspective the theme of the book is ' YOU SHOULD MOVE WITH YOUR GOAL. DON'T STICK ON ONE THING. CHANGE WITH YOUR GOAL.
