How do you cure a common cold?

I'm looking mainly for things like home remedies. I've had a sore throat, headache and a stomach ache for about three days now. And in all honesty, it feels like the flu, but I'm not throwing up. That's the only symptom I don't have. So, how can I get rid of this? I've got a fever, I've taken tylenol and I sleep, I rest, I take it easy. I've been using Halls for my throat, but they're not really helping. This is killing me! Does anyone have any pointers to get rid of this? Or to atleast help it?

My method of ridding myself of ilnesses is to start taking vitamin C crystals. I will take 10 to 15 GRAMS of it over a day. My body jsut flushes out anything that I don't use, and as long as I am drinking lots of fluids, I get well very quickly. Most of the time only one day for any sickness. A drink of whiskey and then in a hot bed to sweat it out.

We always used half lemon juice & half honey and mix it up and warm it in the microwave and sip it. It always helped soothe our sore throats as well as rinising your mouth with warm salt water. Basically rest is all you can do for yourself and studies have shown that chicken noodle soup has found to help people who are sick. Good luck.
