Sticking to a budget!!!! If I do not stick to my diet, that would mean that I just really really wanted something and didn't care if I made my blood sugar rise. However, not sticking to the budget is harder because I have seven children. They always need something extra. And you would not believe how fast they can go through cereal and milk. ha ha And if you factor in that we all need some for of entertainment or we become Jack from the Shinning....a DVD here and there is necessary. ha ha But if I do not stick to the budget there can be worse consequences than not sticking to my diet. I could become overdraft. I could spend too much in food and take away from another alloted area. I could have to not pay a bill and make that bill late because we needed food instead. Not sticking to a budget is far worse than not sticking to a diet.

I agree with you, sticking to both can be pretty tiresome and hard to follow. But here's a suggestion, I dont know if it would work out, why not cut down on meal portions and buy less red meat? This way you would help in your dieting goals, and at the same time cut costs for meals and help your budget.

i find that dieting is more of a seasonal thing, where the budgetis clearly an everyday thing. I don't consider myself to be fat, but losing weight after holidays, and before vacations is when i get into eating better, and exercising.
