LED lighting has been a real interest since the first came on the scene. Early ones were just red or yellow lights (LED) on key chains and such. They weren't very bright and were only good when was very dark. Today the bright LED's have made new advances and finally costs are getting reasonable. If you haven't checked out the new flashlights with 18 to 38 LED's in them you should. They are bright and batterires last a long time compared to light bulbs. I've had one as back up during power loss or in vehicles. One in my truck has same batteries for well over 9 months and still just a bright as ever. I really got hocked on them during Hurrican Rita last year. I had one then and was one of the few that did around here. It didn't take long as everyone used up their batteries during the three weeks of no power before a few realized that I had same batteries. Didn't have to change till a year later. And even then was because I was concerned the might leak. Was still just as bright as in begining. One other good point they never burnout from dropping or anything like that and there is no heat from them either.
