Many have said that should cricket is the reason india is not performing well in other games, especially Olympics. Do you think so? I defenetly donot agree. If we perform well,we would be noticed. The other thing is that the sponsership and media might focus more on cricket, because they mean only business!

No cricket is not fully responsible for the poor performance of India in other sports. It's the people. They only look at cricket. Why don't they encourage India in other sports even though if a fraction of attention and money would be given to India in other sports they will be the world leaders. They have tremendous potential in soccer. British coach Bob Houghton said that "If I had enough money to train the players from Manipur, Sikkim, Nagaland and Mizoram then I will make India qualify for 2010 soccer world cup". India is good at many sports but corruption, not much attention to other sports is responsible for India's bad performance in sports.
So partly cricket is responsible.

yes .. this is right.. if we try to spend 10% of money that we spend on cricket , other sports wud be a lot better.. n India wud also get recognition in the world...we dont have the right infrastructure for grooming young players.. If this is done in schools students can develop the right mindset n liking for global sports...

Yes, I think most of the games are not getting the kind of attention which cricket is getting. If you ask most of the kids will say that they want to become cricketer...
