Nope, never.
Not once not even right now.
I wouldn't dare invade someone's thread and type a reply.
I'm not even a member here....

I try and thank every one of the respondents to my discussions over a period of time, but on their own responses on my discussions. If I find that the discussion started by someone is interesting and I can contribute to it, then I do reply, in many cases I find that I have a lot in commom with some of the people who have responded to my post, but thsi si just a coincidence.

If they reply to my discussions, I will respond to there reply or at least give them a rating for their time. I do also go into my friends discussions frequently and reply to some of their discussions - especially the older ones. I respond to almost all of the discussions started by my friends though.

I always try to respond if I have something to contribute; especially if the person is on my friends list. The only time that I don't is if I have no knowledge of the topic and cannot post anything of quality. You're right, though- it's a good way to search out some interesting topics.

I only reply to discussions that I can contribute to. If you have an intelligent discussion of interest I will not only reply, but check for your other posted discussions regularly.

I certainly look through their posts to find a discussion I can contribute too. I also try to comment on responses left on disscussions I've started but sometimes when there are alot of responses, it's difficult to get to all of them. I definately rate the responses, though.
