How does everyone on here earn money? Are they part of a different site? Do you have a blog/website that you run? I currently own a blog that I'm trying to get off the ground, but I can't seem to get anybody interested in it. Any suggestions?

There are so many blogs and websites on the net that is not easy to attract visitors. First of all, obviously, is important that the site talk about something interesting, not necessarly interesting to everyone but at least for a specific interest. Then you can try to receive more visit with autosurf (it doesn't help you directly but improve the number of pages view of your site and that's good for statistics). then you have to link you blog to others blogs and websites and post it in forum.

I meant how I was to get people to actually read my blog, not just have people look at it for 9 seconds then switch to the next page.

Give your subject title a CATCH, if you know what I mean. Try to put MAGNETIC WORDS right in the title, and put as may possible useful common tags as you can. So that anyone who searches through tag names will be able to reach your blog. I wish this helps.

It is really fun because I could just post practically anything I like. Of course, not to put people off, I'd be selective of what I post on my blog.

I think having an interesting title for your blog helps. You need things that captivate the reader. If it's boring, people will pass. Like others have said, be patient. It takes time. There are so many blogs and the like on the net now that you literally have to make your stuff stand out. Good Luck to you!

Patience:-) you're blog is only fairly new (dec) so you will need to give it some time. I see someone has already suggested blog directories which is a good start - other than that just keep plugging away with it, each time you update it make sure you ping it - this lets the search engines know it has new content so they'll come and check it, the more they come the quicker it will get and stay in the search engines etc.
Put it in*relevant* forums etc (if it's placed somewhere with no relevance it won't attract as much attention etc)
I have many blogs and sites (some of which you'll find in my profile) if you'd like some more information feel free to give me a yell.
