What did they want?

I believe her husband should have stood up for her and made them stop or quit coming around. He should not have made her choose to leave him. When people get married, their first committment should be to each other. Their respective families should take a back seat to their marriage. I would first try to work it out with his family, but if that did not work, I would let my husband know that he needs to take care of it. My husband's brothers and sisters were like that at first, but after they got to know me, they stopped. I just ignored them when possible and when it wasn't, my husband was good at telling them we had to leave.
