are ghosts real?

Here in Tamil Nadu Villages there is a belief called Kaathu Karuppu. It means Ghosts in the form of Air in Darkness. It is almost real & i've heard lots of my friends telling their experiences on it. And to my own experience i've heard a ghost crying in a lady voice. It is believed that a girl who hanged herself still remains their as Ghosts & she cries every no moon days of every month. I've shocked when i heard it to my own.

Well I feel they are just stories.
