Has anyone here ever been involved in a cult?

I think anyone who has attempted to find 'alternative' religions, or self-help etc, might have experienced a cult before. Well, i wasn't really in one, though i observed some things. There was some group where they started off with just 'meditation', and later offered some kinda of 'holy water' which was washed from the gurus feet (ew), but the final straw is always when they ask for money. That usually tells you what they are there for. Anyway, I think on the bright side, if you ever come out of a cult, u'r more skeptical about things now, and more careful, so that you always have your analytical glasses on. Cults are kinda like chicken pox i guess, once you recover the first time, its unlikely ur going to get it again :P, but if you've never got sucked in before, you are still vulnerable, even if you think you are not.
