Ipod and Mp3 players

i heard anews that the use of ipods and mp3players can effect someones hearing,what is your opinion.

True, as long as you listen to them in high volume for a long period of time.

Also if you use earphone it can affect more then headphone. But if you listen to them at a regular volume there is no problem with it

It's true, and I've experienced some temporary ringing in my ears at night - tinnitus. It goes away but I'm wary of turning up the volume of my headphones now. Tinnitus can be very annoying and I noticed it at night as there's silence and than you can really hear it.

Of course it can effect your hearing by turning the volume the highest it could go. You can prevent that by turning it down to a reasonable level.

My grandfather has hearing problems after listening to them for awhile, he needs this hearing enchancer thing to make things louder so he can hear them. I listen to the Ipod over 6 hours a day, as long as its a volume where you can hear other people or yourself speak, you're fine
