do you still close the bathroom / loo door, even when there is no one else home?

It's interesting how we behave - and how we get conditioned to behave. While it's understandable that we do a few things some of the time, why we do the same things at some other times can be funny. Now, there is no good reason to shut the door of the loo if there is no one else at home to suddenly barge in - but still we do it na. What about you, or some one else..interesting!!

It's strange but I have a tendency not to close the door to the bathroom unless I am actually doing a number 2. If I'm just going to do a number 1, nah, it's not worth it. Usually no one is home when I do these things anyways so it's never a big deal but I do feel I need my privacy when I need to go do a number 2. My other half is a bit different. He was always trained to close the door because it was bad manners otherwise. I think a good reason why he does that is because it's so engrained in his mind that he has to do things that way. He is like you said, conditioned to act a certain way his entire life and do things like closing the door when in the bathroom. Personally I think that you do not need to necessarily close that door if no one is around and you have to go that badly. Heck, the only other person here that would get offended has already gone. I know I don't get easily offended myself if someone went to the washroom and didn't close the door. You know, in regards to the whole "Now, there is no good reason to shut the door of the loo if there is no one else at home" thing....but what if someone shows up while you're in the uncomfortable position of sitting on the toilet and they happen to walk past. Would that not be terribly embarrassing? I know I'd be red faced if I was caught sitting on the toilet doing my business and my boyfriend just walked in on me doing that. I guess for me personally, I'm just comfortable enough that when it's just me and my other half to do things like go to the washroom with the door left wide open. You know what I do find rude? Those same people who go into the washroom and do their business but don't flush. That's probably something that makes me more disgusted with the person. It also makes me feel like they don't care and they're just wanting to do what they want, plain and simple. So, in conclusion, I think it's fine to leave the bathroom door open if you're comfortable enough to go to the washroom like that. I know that personally I can only go when I feel like no one is going to come around the corner and stare at me. Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I always close the bathroom door even if nobody else is in the house. I mean......what if someone came home, or if someone broke into the house (God forbid). ?
