if you realy want to have a kid go for it! i think you go to the doctor to ask wath the risks are at your age! i am 38 and have 2 kids, the last one is 7,5 months. we decided not to do any tests at all, thank god both of my girls are healthy! and if you're feeling good why not! but hurry, it can take a little time to get pregnant!

I have friends in the early-mid 40's with little children (one about 7, the other maybe 2). It was very hard for the woman to concieve - cost a small fortune and they actually went to a foreign country where it was cheaper. Another friend went the adoption route instead of the invetro. Then some people have on problems at all. I personall am glad that my kids are grown, I don't know that I could chase a toddler around at this stage in the game. Good Luck!
