Fresh bacon is the best. Especially when you cook it and you get that wonderful smell.

Now this is what I call a proper answer, well said man. Thumbs up and long live the bacon. Fresh one, that is.

Oh it has to be fresh. That ready to eat stuff is terrible in my opinion. They don’t even smell the same when cooking. Have you tried turkey bacon? That stuff is even more worse. I have to eat that when I am dieting. Soy bacon is the worst of all, yuck!

You don't have to fry fresh bacon, there's other ways to cook it. We've always thrown it in the microwave and it comes out great.

I have to have fresh bacon- the pre-cooked stuff doesn't even taste like bacon. Baking it sounds interesting- how do you do it? It would certainly be a lot easier.

Try turkey bacon, it has around 50% less fat than pork bacon, produces less grease in the pan, cooks more evenly, and doesn't burn as readily. After it is cooked it stays chewy instead of becoming deep-fat crisped. I've been using it now for about a year and I'll never go back to pork bacon again.

Well, I prefer to cook it. It really doesn't takes all that much effort to be honest and it always ends up being more tasty than that stuff you get to buy frozen at supermarkets.
