I have done this diet before and it actually works, my sister lost over 40 pounds in a month doing it different times. I know you can't do this diet continuously, like everyday, you have to take a break from it, it is quite strict, but thought everyone would like it with the diet resolutions going on.... This Diet must be followed exactly to lost 10 pounds. (Do Not Snack) First Day Breakfast: Black Coffee or Tea, 1/2 grapefruit 1 slice-toast 2 tablespoons of peanut butter Lunch: 1/2 cup of tuna 1 slice-toast Dinner: 2 slices of any meat (about 3 0z.) 1 cup- string beans 1 cup- beets 1 small apple 1 cup- vanilla ice cream ----------------------------------------------------------- Second Day Breakfast: 1 egg 1/2 banana 1 slice-toast Black Coffee Lunch: 1 cup cottage cheese 5 saltine crackers Dinner: 2 hot dogs 2 cups-broccoli 1/2 cup-carrots 1/2 banana 1/2 cup-vanilla ice cream ----------------------------------------------------------- Third Day Breakfast: 3 saltine crackers 1 slice-cheddar cheese 1 small apple Black Coffee or Tea Lunch: 1 hard-boiled egg 1 slice-toast Dinner: 1 cup-tuna 1 cup-beets 1 cup-cauliflower 1/2 cantaloupe 1/2 cup-vanilla ice cream The diet works on a chemical breakdown and is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasonings. It is suggested to drink from 6-8 glasses of water per day to flush out your system. Where no quantity is given, there are no restrictions, other than common sense. This diet is to be used for 3 days at a time. In three days you will lose 10 pounds. After 3 days of dieting, you eat normal food, but do not over do it. After 4 days of normal eating, start back on the diet. You can lose up to 40 pounds in a month if you stick to the diet.

Yes, you can cut it out, I have even drank regular coca cola on this diet and still lost 8 pounds, good luck this is a very strict diet, but it works and that is what matters

This sounds great since I gained about that much over the holidays. I hate beets, can you substitute anything at all for the beets? If not I will just gag my way through them. LOL

When to Start Dieting? This one is for women: Never start a diet one week before your period. The hormonal imbalances will drive you nuts, will make you frustrated, and the water retained in your body will make appear as if you haven't shed a pound. Actually, you will look as if you took pounds. So spare yourself! The best moment to start a diet is two days after your period has started, when your cravings subdue and your body starts eliminating the retained water. It's better not only from a psychological point of view, but also from a physiological one. So, girls, did you know that the body retains up to 1 liter of water before and during your period? Keep that in mind next time you are complaining that you cannot lose weight. Personally, I retain even more sometimes. Anyway, I started this new way of eating. My friend lost 20 pounds almost following it in the US, and if she could do it there, I can do it here! The basic principles are the ones I have mentioned already. 5-6 meals a day and two or three more substantial. Never eat until you are full, just until you are not hungry anymore. Take out sugar so your insulin is not high and stopping you from losing weight. My daily intake varies from 1,200 calories to 1,500 calories. I don't think that going under this is helpful or healthy. In the morning I'm having a Diet Cereal Bar and half a glass of yogurt. Two-three hours later I have lunch (for example today I had three small pieces of chicken nuggets and 3 large spoons of eggplants and yogurt salad). Then I had one Diet (with fructose instead of sugar) fruit cheesy yogurt. Then I had dinner - other 3 pieces of nuggets, one egg, and lots of lettuce - and then one more fruity cheesy yogurt. I could have added more, but I feel ok. I am not hungry. I could use some fruits though.

This sounds like a good diet and would try it but I'm worried about lunch, I think it is insufficient. I'm going to feel hungry and land up eating something in between! Lemme see, I need to make up my mind :)
