They have pretty much done away with the teachers using the paddles but in some areas they still use it. I was brought up in a school that was a firm believer on the paddle and I remember them sometimes breaking them or leaving bruises. Do you think that this is a good idea or should they completely do away with them?

I agree with you, I would probably react in a real bad way.

They should be away with them. You never know how hard you are really hitting the children. I know I wouldn't want to be it. I remember when I was in school the princ. would leave the blinds open when he spanked someone. I still can't believe that happend to someone.

There is an old scripture proverb: "Spare the rod, spoil the child" ..We have gotten rid of the rod and now we have a bunch of spoilt children..

You know what, I agree with you but I don't think that the teachers should be able to punish our children like this. I still woop my children but I use my hand to do it so that I can see how hard I am hitting them. I usually don't even have to do this though. If I take something away from them instead then they realize that I mean buissiness. thank you for commenting.

It's not just happening at this school but in many others schools as well. I thought about homeschooling my kids but I have a fear that they would listen better to a teacher and that they won't be as social with othe kids. thank you so much for commenting.

punishment shud be there in every aspect or area of life..without it no one learns..it is a way to inculcate discipline in people...if its not there then there wud be people who will keep on committing misktakes

thank you for commenting. I understand what you are saying but I don't believe that our teachers should punish the kids but instead should discipline them.
