I am thinking of getting a tatoo but need suggestions.

I have two on my left arm and didnt find it painful at all..it was more annoying than anything for lack of a better way to describe it LOL...my husband got a beautiful wolf on his chest and he actually fell asleep in the chair! the pain factor from what i understand is different for different areas on the body but also too for each person...I have a HUGE tolerance to pain so getting pierced and tats wont/doesnt bother me as much as a friend of mine who has a very low tolerance... I'm (starting this yr) going to be getting my entire back done and the only place I'm worried about is my shoulder blades really..I think that area will be a tad more than "just annoying" for me LOL....and actually the lady who did my piercings the last time I got to talking to about her man...I wanted Bob (Paulin) to do my portrait tats for me but he's really busy..anyway she is covered in tats and I was askin how much her inner lower arms hurt to get done because I want both of mine done and she was saying that area hurts a little more than other areas (I forget why but I think because its not as 'fleshy'/the skin is thinner) which surpised me....

I have one on my lower back and it wasn't painful at all. I hate needles so much that when i have to have blood drawn from my finger the nurses have to hold me down. My body piercings hurt more then my tattoo did. Get something that has meaning to you. My husband has 6 and he said the most painful ones for him were on his pecks. I have heard the ankle, foot and stomache were also painful. Good luck

yes it's true that other areas hurt more than others such as feet, ankle, neck, knees,shoulder and face. i would say the shoulder is tolerable. the others are all more painful the face being the worst. the triquetra would be pretty sweet if the artist did it right.

I have several tattoos. As for getting a suggestion, DON'T! Get something that has meaning to you, whether anyone else gets it or not. As for the pain, it's bearable. A little less than a shot from the doctor and after the first few minutes your body adjusts to it and it really isn't that bad.
