Someone please tell me some good news! Something nice that happened today...

How about categorizing discussions such as good, bad, happy ,sad. Oops! maybe this has been done already. If not you deserve all the credit and I hope you get very rich. Cheer up! And I hope you will be up and abutt I mean up and about very soon.

I know this is a very minor thing but my car, which is 13 years old, passed another inspection at Motor Vehicle. I was surprised since it is old and the standards that need to be met keep getting more difficult so it was good day for me. We do need some good news as everything on tv is negative as well. Did anything good happen to you today?

My hubby stood side by side with me at the stove and helped me cook dinner. It was nice... no tv show, no kids needing something :) And the extra hand is always nice too !

I have good news! My daughter had her cast removed yesterday from her ankle and I was worried that she'd overdo it at school today, but she did great! I had visions of her coming home with it swollen and sore, but she said she felt great! Let's see, another good thing is that a good friend of mine who I have not seen in quite some time stopped by to see me today! That really made me happy :)

Well.. this isn't a huge thing, but it did help my day. I was feeling rather lonely and down and really wishing to hear from someone, only to get a really nice comment from a random person on my journal a few hours later. It was like that person was sent to cheer up my day! And it really did help. Little things like that can make a pretty big difference, I find! ^_^

We finally got good news about my husband driving truck. He has been accepted to a school with a guaranteed job at the end of schooling. We will finally be a little more financially secure. My mom also called to tell us that their boxer had 5 puppies. We went to see them and they are so cute.

Okay this is probably bad, but the only good thing that comes to mind right now is that I got to play my Zoo Tycoon tonight. hehe And found out that it does actually save, I just wasn't finding it the right way. lol This made me VERY happy!!

OH YOU LIKE BEING optimistic eh? well that is ok dear... i will tell you about the best thing that happened today its my birthday today!!!! i am 21 years old and i just love this day... jan 5th is my favourite day in the entire year... he he he... aint this such a great news? ;)

Ok Tia here is some good news for you. First, today has been an unseasonably warm day here in Michigan, actually near 50 degrees and it is January so I spent most of the after school day with my girls, going for bike rides and such. Second, it is... errrr was January 3rd which means that Christmas break is over and the girls went back to school thus giving mee and Mrs. Mee a quiet house, for a little while. Third, Mrs. Mee slept most of the day giving Mee a quiet house.:-) Forth, I cooked dinner tonight, meatballs, noodles, and gravy and I did not burn the house down by using the stove/oven. Fifth, dinner actually tasted real good. Sixth, it is late at night 12:04am and your friend is here trying to cheer you up!! Hope this does the trick my friend. Oh and before I forget......:-P HAHAHA!!!

I, too, get a bit upset about all the depressing things on mylot. Some are real, some are imagined or trivial. But you asked for some nice things that happened today...I logged on to my mturk account to find that two of the hits I did yesterday paid a significant (for mturk) amount! That was a pleasant surprise. Also, I saw a former student as I was shopping at the large superstore he manages. He stopped what he was doing, and gave me a big smile and a wave! Minor? yes. Warms my heart? Absolutely. There is some good in the world!

We had a blind chicken on our ranch for years. It was best friends with our female rottweiller. The dog would carry the chicken in her mouth every where she went. The chicken loved it even though she was quite wet with dog slobber most of the time They ate together, slept together it almost seemed like they spoke to eachother. The chicken would make very soft clucking noises and the dog would respond by either licking her or make a deep rumble in her chest almost like a purring sound. They were so much fun to watch

I called my mother. She's now better after being infected by Chikun gunya virus. Thats a good news for me.

Something nice that happened to me today... I had to present two projects today at university, i was quite nervous but both went well :) it feels great to see your work paying off Have a great day! ;) PS - Congrats for this post, it's good to happy discussions at myLot

i got my car back from the panel beaters the other day. it was there for like 3 weeks. some bloke who was pissed reversed in to me. in those 3 weeks i was very depressed because i missed my car. now its back looks brand new because i also got a new paint job done. u like

LOL this is a nice discussion...i will guess that the good news today will be that i have a job interview scheduled at 2.30pm (it's 12 noon now). being jobless since 22nd December, this will be my 2nd interview in singapore (i'm from Malaysia) and i really hope that i could find a job asap. :D

I woke up this morning, and got to go be with children all day. Some of them are doing really well after Christmas break. They had a wonderful time, and loved their presents, and love their families. I know that they did not get everything they wanted, and some of them do not have everything they need, and some of the families are a little strange, but children are full of joy, happiness, and love. How is that for a positive.

Youre right, there are alot of bad things in this world as you may know but the one thing that still goes on today and always is that there is still love and love can overcome anything with enough effort.

my kids (6 & 8) gave me a kiss and told me they loved me before they went to bed....happens every night but never gets old
