Have you or your children ever had pink eye?

I'm wondering his because my son got pink eye. It was really red and irritated, and now i'm starting to get it and bless his heart tomorrow is his birthday. So i'm wondering if we will be able to have family over tomorrow evening for cake and ice cream. Or if it will have to be kept to our immediate family only. He's been on eye drops since 9pm tuesday night, but its still red tonight, I'm not certain if he should go to school tomorrow or not. Any ideas?
