ok,i will help for you.You don't just go for a topic that is not pulling anyone's attention.Try to write something that is interesting when people look at your discussions.Your main topic should be quite attractive.Let's say when you type your topic "weekends"...You should try to write like "What you'll do in your weekends?"or maybe "working in weekends.Like/dislike?" or "how many of you work in weekends?" .There you get that? But don't ever do this like your topic is good but there's nothing in your discussions.Ok i hope you will try that when you make a discussions.Good luck!
