Italys hopes on banning the "Death Penalty"

Italy will campaign at the UN in hopes to get the death penalty banned. Are you with Italy and want it think it's immoral and want it banned? or do you think the death penalty is an appropriate punishment.

I think it depends on 3 things: the crime, whether they got a fair trial and chance to appeal the decision, and the method of execution. Some crimes are just too serious and if there is ANY chance these people could possibly be released or escape at some future date the world is a little bit safer if they are no longer in it. But you don't have to be cruel when they are executed either.
