I believe that you don't need to have a credit card to verify your paypal account. I know that you can verify your paypal account by just using a bank account. But I am sure that you could try to contact someone on the site & ask them these questions just so you can get an accurate answer. As they would know first hand. They as well have a help section with answers to some questions. So you may want to go to there website & check that out as well. But I am pretty sure like I had stated above that a bank account would be just fine.
