Which would you prefer: Short or Long Term Relationship before Marriage?

For me in my own experience, I would prefer long-term relationship. Why? Because obviously the more you spend time with your partner the more you'll be able to get to know him better. Some say the excitement to be in a relationship would eventually fades but I dont think so. True that sometimes you would feel like its an ordinary day or you just get used to being with him/ her but one things for sure, the Love is still there. And I personally can attest to that. Believe me, I'm not against those couple who eventually get married even if they've just been in a boyfriend/ girlfriend stage in just a short time. I know some friends who had been in that stage. This is just my own opinion. So what do you think?
