Can One Die From A Broken Heart?

well, hypothetically no, but i have see and heared of elderly people passing when there loved on has passed before them. it tears there heart and then they dont want to live anymore with out that person. its sad

Yes, but not literally because of broken heart..Its the effect of being brokenhearted that could kill you. Because one of the side effects of being brokenhearted is depression, so when one is depress, he/she tends not to eat, think alot until her/his health deteriorates.

yes, broken heart as in damaged or defective heart... but broken heart,meaning the proverbial one, i don't think so... people are more likely to go insane after going heart broken, but not literally die of it.

Yes, even you will die of a broken heart, if some one who is every thing for you, or some one whom you always thought is your life leaves you, You may die, after all he/she is your life and how could you live with out life? Easy.. but you dont find such a kind of love these days. But what exactly happens is, say like i love some one very deeply as if she is my life, and i see her every where, and i see her in every girl, and all i ting about is about a girl, and every thing i do is for her, and one day she leaves me leaving alone, I get depressed, don't feel like eating and so i skip eating, and later i feel like drinking think that i may forget her if i drink, and smoking obviously, and there is no one else to take care of me, what happens then? I get sick, illness, and finally i die.

yes it is possible . and why not? when the hurt that the the broken heart is sailing through gives immense pain every time.then eventually one can die .

I think so.. it takes time for it to completely sweep you but it does eventually get you... if you let it.

i think i've seen obituaries in the paper with the wife dying, and then the husband like in the same week.. not from any illnesses, so i tend to think that its true.

i think anyone can die from a broken heart because losing someone who have made a a big difference in your life is like losing your own life also. but then there the possibility that you die because you have a broken heart and also at the same time an unhealthy heart, and then you die with a broken heart because you'd kill yourself!

Alot of people say that and alot of people sayin they wanna kill their selves and stuff liek that but i dont believe in stuff like that if u break my heart u break my heart so wat ur problem u just lost a good wifey

yeah..if the one involved is not that strong! if he's too weak to accept his fate!
