You’re right, I don’t know if he personally tortured, killed or raped anyone, but he knew of it, and at a minimum allowed it. The heinous deeds performed by his sons are just one small example. He could have stopped them if he wanted to. As head of state, he is being held responsible for the terrible acts of his government on the Iraqi people. Sure, you can see news stories showing Saddam supporters in Iraq, but there are many more Iraqis who are celebrating his demise. I haven’t heard any news stories about drugging him. The guy was pretty pathetic anyway, hiding in a dirt hole. Just think, his TV reception must have been really bad.
