How can you get rich with a modest salary? Find ways to save your money! I'm not talking about savings accounts. I'm talking about the little things everyday that can save you a bit of money.
Things such as:
* Making your coffee or tea at home in the morning and bringing it with you in a thermos.
* Making your lunch at home and brown-bagging it to work.
* Looking through the clearance rack at your favourite clothing store or department store.
These examples show the path towards living below our means. I think that this is the one thing that a lot of people don't do: cut back on spending to save (even just a little bit). It will all add up. What do you do with the money that you save? Figure out how to invest it in way that you're comfortable with you approach. Stick within your comfort zone and don't try to do too much all at once. Think about saving as a method of paying yourself.

Good ideas, I use these and others to try to save money. It's amazing to me that I hear people complaining that they never have enough money, as they're buying their $5 daily frappucino at Starbucks. I'd rather skip the expensive coffee and takeout meals and save the money towards a trip or something, or for paying my bills if money is tight.
