most people get very irritated ant think its very rude or that your trying to act smart if you correct their grammr or ask them to use a better word cause the word they were usiing was cheap or wasn't the appropriate wor. is it rude? because i don't think is it; your only helping that person so they dn't make a fool of themselves in public and help them improve their language skills.is it rude?

So it would not bother you if I correct your grammer? The first letter in a sentence is alway's capitalized, you are missing letter's in a lot of your word's. So is it rude? I think so.

I correct my children's grammar, but here online, it is none of my business really. I mind my own grammar, and my own spelling. However, there are always going to be typos and errors online, and how am I to know if someone else made a typo or not.
Now, I'm an American that lives overseas, and I have local friends and we take the opportunity to teach each other our languages. Too many people take offense online if you point out spelling and grammar mistakes.

Yes it is rude. The only people I correct are my kids and only very occasionally my husband if he mispronounces something. It's my job as a parent to teach my kids properly. I do not correct other people because it offends them and it is rude.
